Design Education
& Innovation
Through years of leading teams and teaching, I’ve developed an empathetic approach to communication that bridges ideas with impact.
I focus is on helping the next generation articulate not only the vision behind their ideas, but also the facts that demonstrate the benefits of change.
By guiding students to ground their creativity in evidence, I show them how their work can drive progress, influence decision-makers, and ultimately contribute to the growth of a company.

Building Inclusive Design Literacy
My design philosophy combines technical design principles with lived experience insights, ensuring learners understand both the "how" and the "why" behind inclusive universal fashion design decisions.

Pioneering Adaptive Fashion: The Only Higher-Ed Course Centered on Inclusive Design
This course is one of the first in higher education devoted entirely to adaptive fashion. I guide students through an empathy-driven design process that challenges traditional norms and centers the lived experiences of people with disabilities. With support from Browzwear and YKK, students collaborate directly with disability advocate Jessica Jordan Ping to create garments ranging from activewear and eveningwear to adaptive intimates, balancing function, style, and inclusivity.
Past collaborations have included projects with Joe & Bella, Silvert’s, and Runway of Dreams, giving students the opportunity to engage with leading voices in adaptive fashion. By integrating Browzwear’s 3D technology, students transform concepts into high-fidelity virtual prototypes, redefining what adaptive design can achieve for both the industry and the consumer.
Field Experience Vietnam & Thailand
Manufacturing & Sourcing
As part of my Sourcing and Supply Chain curriculum at Columbia College Chicago, I led students on an immersive international study trip across Vietnam and Thailand to explore the full lifecycle of apparel production. This hands-on experience provided a rare opportunity for students to connect classroom theory with real-world applications in one of the world’s most dynamic manufacturing regions.
